Robert Walker, MD, is an Orthopedic Surgeon at Desert Orthopedic Center. He performs joint arthroplasty of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, and hip. Dr. Walker completed his orthopedic surgery residency and internship at the University of Arizona - Phoenix, and a hand/upper extremity surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health, in Columbus Ohio. Dr. Walker performs surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder including peripheral nerve surgery, along with arthroscopy, tendon and ligament injuries, arthritis, joint replacement/reconstruction, and fracture care.

Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Dr. Walker believes in a customized approach to each patient and utilizing the least aggressive approach to obtain the best result for every patient. He believes in shared decision making and educating patients to arrive at the best treatment outcome.

Shoulder Arthritis and Rotator Cuff Tears Dr. Walker uses CT scans to personalize every shoulder replacement to a given patient. Rotator cuff repairs are done arthroscopically with minimally invasive technique.
